-

- 2% cash back on one everyday category you choose each quarter

Why we like it: The U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature card can earn you 5% back on your streaming purchases if you select the TV, internet, and streaming category as one of your two quarterly categories. You can earn the 5% cash-back rate on up to $2,000 in spending in your two chosen categories each quarter.
Many cards offer credits for purchasing specific streaming subscriptions, making it one of the easiest ways to reduce your streaming expenses. In some cases, you can completely cover the cost of a streaming plan.
It’s also important to realize that certain card benefits could indirectly offer a streaming perk. For example, the Amex Platinum provides a monthly credit to cover eligible Walmart+ memberships. If you look at the benefits that come with Walmart+, you’ll see you can get a free Paramount+ or Peacock subscription as a Walmart+ member.
Earning increased rewards on streaming purchases is a straightforward way to reduce the cost of your streaming subscriptions. Many cards offer 1.5x or 2x back on streaming purchases, but the better rewards rates are at least 3x back or higher.
Keep in mind that you can also get plenty of value from non-streaming-related spending categories attached to a rewards card. For example, a card might offer increased cash back or points on groceries, in addition to streaming services, providing you with multiple ways to enhance your card’s value.
Related: Best rewards credit cards
If your goal is to save money on your streaming subscriptions, an annual fee is essentially doing the opposite. You would have to calculate whether taking advantage of certain card benefits would provide enough value to warrant paying a yearly fee.
Related: Best credit cards with no annual fee
A credit card sign-up bonus or welcome offer is an excellent way for new cardholders to earn a substantial statement credit or a portion of rewards in a relatively short period. Welcome bonuses can vary greatly depending on the card and card issuer, so it’s worth comparing various cards to see what’s being offered at any given time.
Opening a credit card to pay for streaming services may make sense if it also helps you accomplish other goals. None of the cards we’ve included on our list are designed explicitly for making streaming purchases. Instead, they’re designed to serve multiple purposes, such as helping you earn rewards on both streaming and grocery purchases.
For example, the Amex Blue Cash Everyday can help reduce the cost of a Disney+ subscription or bundle. In addition, you can also use it to earn increased cash back at U.S. supermarkets and U.S. gas stations. It also comes with a 0% introductory APR offer and has no annual fee.
So, the streaming benefit is one aspect of the card that should be considered, but it also makes sense to think about the card’s other perks and how they might help you reach your goals.
Some of the best credit cards for streaming services include:

Enrollment is required for select benefits.
