Aluminium, steel/iron, and copper will continue to face the previous 25% duty. As per the Global Trade Research Initiative (GTRI), India ships about $86.5 billion worth of goods to the US each year. The US absorbs about 29% of Indian textile and apparel exports, roughly $10.3 billion. India sends roughly 18% of its total exports to the United States, equivalent to about 2.2% of GDP. Millions of workers in textiles, jewellery and seafood sectors could be affected if shipments to the US decline by 20–30%
