The Hamas terror group is condemning the visit to Gaza Strip by Steve Witkoff, the US Special Envoy to the Middle East, who visited an aid distribution site in the war zone on Friday, alongside US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
In a statement obtained by the Times Of Israel, Hamas also vowed not to disarm “as long as the occupation exists” and until there is a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement came hours after Witkoff reportedly told the families of those held hostage by the terror group since Oct. 7, 2023 that Hamas had agreed that it was ready to demilitarize.
Hamas called Witkoff’s visit to Gaza “nothing more than a prearranged theatrical performance.”
