Government officials came to help us clean up the sidewalk that had been abandoned for 3 years
Hello everyone around the world! Today, something truly interesting happened: representatives of the LOCAL GOVERNMENT came down in person to help us clean up a sidewalk that had been abandoned for three years. Their action left everyone both surprised and deeply moved. In the past, this stretch of sidewalk had been overrun with weeds and piled with trash, creating a messy and gloomy scene. Every time local residents walked by, they could only sigh in disappointment. No one ever thought that a public space located right in the middle of a residential area could be neglected for such a long time. When our volunteer group started cleaning, a local government officer took the initiative to come down and roll up his sleeves to join us. They not only brought along useful tools but also directly helped with pulling weeds, sweeping, and collecting garbage. That image left a lasting impression of trust and joy in the hearts of the residents, because the authorities were not just standing by and watching, but truly walking side by side with the people in small yet meaningful tasks. Thanks to this joint effort, the once-forgotten sidewalk is now clean, spacious, and has become a safe and tidy path for the whole neighborhood.
Due to the lack of funds and machinery to trim the grass close to the inside, we could only clean the area on the outside. After that, we cleaned up the trash, put it in bags, and brought it to the trash bins. I didn’t put grass and soil in the trash bins to avoid overloading and causing difficulties for the garbage collectors since their job is already very exhausting.
