Holocaust survivor IDed as man, 80, killed in Maserati hit-and-run while walking his dog

The man who was ruthlessly mowed down by a Maserati driver as he walked his dog through Sherman Oaks Tuesday survived the Holocaust and the Ukrainian war, his family said.

Andriy Korshunov and his beloved pooch were left for dead after the Maserati smashed into them and fled the scene, his grieving daughter told ABC 7.

“He didn’t help him … He killed two souls,” Ilana Ceitlin told the outlet.

“My father was a Holocaust survivor … He survived the Holocaust, he survived the Ukrainian war and then he was killed in a peaceful country.”

The Los Angeles coroner could not immediately confirm the identity of the killed man.

The tragedy occurred around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when Korshunov, 80, was taking his pooch for a walk in the bike lane along Woodman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver smashed into the pair and fled the scene.

Korshunov was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His dog was killed at the scene.

A mashed Maserati Quattroporte had been ditched a few blocks away. It had significant front-end damage and its license plates had been removed.

The LAPD would not say whether the car was tied to the case, but had towed the vehicle as part of its investigation.

The driver is still in the wind.
